Baron Berge monument in Collioure's market square
The Chateau de la Rocasse was built in the 19th century and was originally the household of the Berge family until it was divided into apartments in the 1950's.

Baron Berge was a decorated general within the First French Empire and is one of 660 officers to have his name engraved on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.  A memorial monument is also on display in the market square of Collioure.
